Paradeep: The police here have arrested a 33-year-old man on charges of posting obscene images of a girl on a fake social media account. The accused, identified as Ranjit Bose is a native of Udyabata under Paradeep Model police limits.
The victim in this case was also blackmailed by the accused. By using the fake ID of the girl, the accused also interacted with several boys involving them in sex chat, the police said.
“The accused has been arrested and forwarded to the court. Two mobile phones of the accused have been sent for forensic examination to SFSL, Bhubaneswar,” the police stated.
