Baripada: Khunta police in Mayurbhanj district arrested a person on Thursday for allegedly raping his differently abled niece.
The accused has been identified as Rajkishore Das of Badafeni village under Khunta police limits. Police have got the medical examination of the victim done.
According to reports, a differently abled young woman of Badafeni village on Wednesday afternoon had taken her goats to a nearby forest to graze.
Accused Rajkishore on finding his differently abled niece alone offered her chocolate and then raped her.
In the evening the victim narrated her ordeal to her family members following which they lodged a written complaint at Khunta police station.
Following the allegation, police conducted an investigation and arrested Rajkishore on Thursday. He was forwarded to court today.
Meanwhile, a medical examination of the victim has been done.
