Bargarh: A person allegedly attacked his wife with a sharp object and then hanged himself in Bheunria village under Padmapur police station in Bargarh district, on Saturday.
According to reports, Shyamasundar Bhoi, the accused of Bheunria village, attacked his wife Ratni with a sharp object at their home. Immediately after the attack, he took his own life by hanging himself. The motive behind the attack and subsequent suicide is still unclear.
The wife, Ratni Bhoi, was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to Veer Surendra Sai Institute Of Medical Science And Research for further treatment due to her critical condition.
The incident has left the community stunned, and the police have launched an investigation.
