Baripada: The Mayurbhanj District & Sessions Court here today sentenced a man to undergo life imprisonment for murder.
According to reports, the District & Sessions Court here today sentenced one Nara Tudu of Jarki village under Jharpokharia police limits in Mayurbhanj district to life imprisonment after convicting him for murdering a person over a land dispute in 2019.
The Court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on Tudu apart from sentencing him to life imprisonment. On default to pay the fine Tudu has to undergo imprisonment for another six months the Court ruled in its verdict, reports added.
