Bhubaneswar: A gruesome murder has shaken Sindhaba village under K Nuagaon police station in Ganjam district, where an elderly man was brutally killed by his own grandsons, allegedly over a family dispute.
The deceased has been Sanyasi Gauda, and the accused grandsons have been identified as Chiku Gauda and Shiva Gauda.
According to reports, two grandsons, Chiku and Shiva, got into a heated argument with their grandfather, Sanyasi, over a family dispute. The situation escalated, and in a fit of rage, they lost control and grabbed a stick, striking their grandfather’s head repeatedly.
Meanwhile, locals intervened and rushed Sanyasi to Digapahandi Medical, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Digapahandi police, meanwhile, have seized the body and launched an investigation into the murder. The accused grandsons are on the run, and efforts are being made to nab them.
