Dhenkanal: In a tragic incident, a man and his minor daughter on Friday drowned in a pond at Ambabahali village in Bainisia panchayat under Gondia block in Dhenkanal district.
The deceased have been identified as Maheswar Nayak (48) and Mandakini Nayak (8).
According to reports, Maheswar and his daughter Mandakini drowned while they were bathing in a pond in Ambabahali village.
Locals rushed Maheswar and Mandakini to the district headquarters hospital here.
However, they were declared dead by the attending doctors at the hospital.
