Kamakhyanagar: In a tragic incident, one person died of electric shock in Bidyadharpur village under Bhuban police limits in Dhenkanal district today after coming in contact with live wire.
The deceased has been identified as Pabitra Mallick.
According to reports, today morning Pabitra had gone to Ramial river for a wash when he came in contact with live wire connected to a Lift Irrigation (LI) point.
Locals informed Pabitra’s family members who rushed to the spot, but by that time Pabitra had died on the spot.
Later, the deceased’s family members informed the police. Police have seized the body and have sent it to the Sub-Divisional Hospital here for post-mortem.
Further investigation by the police in the matter is underway
