Man-Eater Leopard Caught On Trap Camera In Odisha’s Sunabeda Sanctuary

Nuapada: The man-eater leopard which killed an old woman in Soseng village on March 19 was caught on camera in Sunabeda sanctuary in Odisha on Wednesday night.

According to reports, the leopard was seen roaming around in the Sunabeda forest range.

It is worth mentioning here that the leopard caught in the trap camera has given rise to panic and apprehension in villages adjacent to the Sunabeda sanctuary. Villagers in the region are spending sleepless nights after the leopard killed an old woman and their cattle.

Forest department officials reached the village and are assessing the situation. Altogether 15 trap cameras have been installed in different parts of the Sunabeda forest to monitor the movements of the leopard.

According to Forest officer Shiva Khamari, the leopard is a male and is more than 8 years old.
