Angul: Body of a man was found inside a well in the backyard of the house of his in-laws at Santrabandha village in Chhendipada block of Angul district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Gajendra Behera of Jereng under Jarapada police limits of the district.
Reportedly, Gajendra was staying in his in-laws’ house for the last two months. He had gone to attend an annual festival in the village last night but had not returned home.
His body was later found inside the well in the backyard of his in-laws’ house. On getting information, police and fire services personnel reached the spot and fished out the body.
Gajendra’s father have alleged that he has been murdered. Meanwhile, his body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe initiated to ascertain the truth.
