Bargarh: A gruesome murder has shaken the residents of Bargarh district after a man’s body was found with his throat slit on the Sambalpur-Bargarh National Highway No. 53 near Satijor under Atabira police station. The victim has been identified as Mahadev Sahu, 55, a resident of Barahgoda Gaurang Tikra village under Barahagoda rural police station.
According to reports, the body was discovered near Godabaga Satijora, and the police believe that the victim was hacked to death and thrown away by miscreants. Mahadev’s son, Pramod Gadtia, identified the body and later lodged a complaint at Atabira police station.
A team of investigators from Atabira police station, along with the Sambalpur scientific team and a sniffer dog, have reached the spot to conduct a thorough investigation. The police are working to determine the motive behind the murder and identify the perpetrators.
The investigation is underway, and the police are collecting evidence to crack the case.
