Sundargarh: A Special POCSO Court here on Monday sentenced one Arjun Lakra to 10-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) after convicting him for raping a minor girl in Hemgiri police limits in 2015.
The Court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Lakra who hails from Automunda area of Kutra in Sundargarh district. Upon failure to pay the fine Lakra has to undergo RI for additional one and half years, the Court ruled in its order.
The Court further ordered the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) to pay an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the victim.
