Man Gets Life Term For Murdering Grandmother In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A man was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his grandmother in Gohira village under Ghashipura police station in Keonjhar district.

Anandpur Additional District and Sessions court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the Sidhhant Naik of Gohira village. He has to undergo additional one year imprisonment for non-payment of fine.

On October 17, 2020, Sidhhant of Gohira Village asked his grandmother Dukhi Naik for some money. Dukhi refused to give.

Angered by her refusal, Sidhhant hit her head with a stone. She was critically injured and succumbed while undergoing treatment in Anandpur hospital.

Ghasipura police arrested Sidhhant on the basis of a complaint filed by his grandfather.
