Baripada: Additional District Judge (ADJ) -II Court here today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife.
According to reports, ADJ-II Court today convicted and sentenced one Mohan Marandi (52) of Baghuasol village under Chandua police limits in Mayurbhanj district to life imprisonment for murdering his wife Laxmi Marandi over a domestic spat in 2021.
The Court in its sentencing has also slapped a fine of Rs 15,000 on Mohan and on default to pay the fine Mohan has to undergo additional imprisonment of seven months.
The Court awarded the sentence after recording the depositions of 17 witnesses and examining the medical reports.
