Sundargarh: K Balang police in Koida block of Sundargarh district have detained a person for allegedly hacking two persons to death following a spar over eating a dead chicken.
While the accused has been identified as Jura Munda (35) of Amarudhi village, the deceased persons have been identified as Sadhu Charan Burwelli (24) and Janka Sundhi of the same village.
According to reports, accused Jura Munda of Amarudhi village after eating a dead chicken on Saturday had a heated argument with Sadhu Charan Burwelli and Janka Sundhi of the same village.
Enraged over the issue, Jura hacked to death Sadhu Charan and Janka with an axe in the night on the same day and dumped the bodies in a nullah near the village.
Family members of Sadhu Charan and Janka searched for them in vain.
Jura visited K Balang police station today and surrendered. He told the police about the murders committed by him. Following this police detained him and seized the bodies from the nullah.
