Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly hacked his nephew to death at Jhili village under Gandia police limits in Dhenkanal district, on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Gourang Dehuri (34).
According to sources, the accused identified as Dhaneswar Dehuri and his nephew were having a discussion which led to a heated argument. An irate Dhaneswar in a fit of rage hacked his nephew killing the latter on the spot.
On a tip-off, Gandia police reached the spot and detained Dhaneswar. Police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
According to locals, Dhaneswar killed Gourang over the past enmity.
