Jajpur: In a shocking incident one Gopal Ojha hacked his sexagenarian mother Premlata in Bindhani Sahi under Binjharpur police station of Jajpur district on Saturday night.
According to reports, Gopal killed his mother Premalata Ojha with a billhook following a domestic feud. Gopal Ojha (40) was unmarried and he often quarrelled with his mother. A quarrel broke out between the two on Saturday night and he hacked his mother to death out of extreme anger. Sources said that Gopal was angry because his family did not try to get him married.
The accused fled the crime scene soon after hacking his mother to death. However, the local police nabbed him from Bidapada village on Sunday morning. He has been detained at the police station for interrogation.
On the other hand, Premlata’s body has been sent to Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
