Baripada: In a shocking incident, a man hacked his son-in-law with an axe in Gangraj village under Kuliana police limits in Mayurbhanj district today.
One Damodar Prusty of Gangraj village attacked his son-in-law Shyamsundar Dhal with an axe, police said.
While Shyamsundar has been admitted to the PRM Medical College & Hospital at Baripada in a critical condition, Damodar has been detained by the police, informed Suresh Chandra Patra, Additional SP Mayurbhanj.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, Patra added.
