Man Hacks Son To Death Over Property Dispute In Sundargarh

Rourkela: In a shocking incident, a sexagenarian man hacked his son to death with an axe over property dispute in Budhabhuin village under Lahunipara police limits in Sundargarh district in the wee hours today.

The accused identified as Francis Oram (62) has surrendered before the police after murdering his Patras Oram.

According to reports, Francis has three sons and a daughter.

While all of his children are married, Francis and his elder son Patras Oram (35) used to always have altercations over sharing of land.

On Thursday Francis and Patras had an altercation over the same matter.

While Patras was sleeping outside the house on Thursday night, Francis hacked the former with an axe which led to his death.

Francis surrendered before the police after committing the ghastly act.

Police have seized the body and have launched an investigation into the incident.
