Man Injured In Firing At Ganjam Village

Purusottampur (Ganjam): A man was injured in a shooting incident at Sundhibanko village under Purusottampur police station in Ganjam district on Monday morning.

The injured, identified as Sagar Behera, a resident of Arakhapur village, was hit in the right leg when two unidentified miscreants opened fire around 8 am. According to reports, the attackers fled the spot immediately after the shooting.

Sagar was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Brahmapur, where he is undergoing treatment. Police reached the scene soon after being informed and have launched an investigation into the incident.

Police said they are probing the motive behind the attack and have collected evidence from the site. No arrests have been made so far.
