Man Injured In Firing In Jharsuguda, Hospitalised

Jharsuguda: A man was critically injured after two bike-borne miscreants fired at him in broad daylight in his residence at Shantinagar locality on Friday afternoon.

The injured man identified as Rakesh Oram has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital in a critical condition.

According to reports, while Rakesh and his mother were sitting in their house in the afternoon two youths who came on a scooter entered their house aiming at Rakesh fired two rounds.

Luckily, the bullets brushed past Rakesh’s shoulder. Hearing the cries locals rushed in and the miscreants managed to flee the spot in the melee on their scooter.

Rakesh was rushed to the district headquarters hospital by his family members in a critical condition.

On being informed police have launched an investigation into the incident.
