Bargarh: In a ghastly act, a man killed all the family members of his brother in Odisha’s Bargarh district over an alleged property dispute on Monday late at night. The incident has been reported from Jhikijhiki village under Bhatli police limits in Bargarh district.
The deceased have been identified as Gurudev Bag, his wife Sibdugri Bagh, their son Chudamai (15), and daughter Sravani (10). The bodies of all the victims were found drenched in blood in their room.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Siba Bag, and his elder brother Gurudev Bag were locked in a bitter dispute over a piece of land for a long time. On Monday night, Siba Bag broke open into Gurudev’s house and allegedly stabbed his brother, sister-in-law, and their son and daughter using a crowbar. All the four victims died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the village and detained the accused. The police have also sealed the room where the bodies were found and called for a scientific team for further investigation into the crime.
