Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly killed his wife and kept her body in their house for two days at Jenkeda village under Gaisilet police limits in Bargarh district.

The accused has been identified as Ram Sahoo.

As per reports, Ram Sahoo allegedly slit his wife Chandrakanti Sahoo’s throat with a sharp weapon over a family dispute. He then abandoned the body in the house and fled.

The matter came to light on Saturday after neighbours complained of a foul smell emanating from his house.

Acting on a tip-off, the Gaisilet police reached the spot, sent the body for a post-mortem, and launched a thorough investigation.
