Khurdha: A man was killed in the explosion of a bomb allegedly hurled by his father who tried to kill his elder son, but the bomb accidentally exploded at the younger son.  The tragic incident took place over an alleged property dispute at Sahaspur Sahantinagar under Banapur police limits in Khurdha.

The deceased has been identified as Dibyasingh Routray. Father Satha Routray and elder son Subash have been detained by the police.

Satha had a dispute with his elder son Subash regarding land ownership. Shath and his younger son Dibyasingh tried to kill Subash.

As per the plan, Satha hurled a bomb at the house of Subhash. However, it accidentally fell and exploded on Divyasingh after hitting at an iron grill. The elder son Subhas was slightly injured in the explosion.

Receiving information, police rushed to the spot and recovered a country-made gun from the spot. The incident is reported to have taken place over a land dispute.

The police have detained the father and the elder son and are interrogating them.
