Sundargarh: A 70-year-old man, Prafulla Majhi of Salbira village under Badgaon police limits in Sundargarh district was allegedly murdered by 50-year-old Ghanshyam Majhi of the same village today. Later, Ghanshyam was found dead near Prafulla’s body.
According to reports, while village elder Prafulla had gone to the woods near his field to search for his cow he was allegedly brutally attacked by accused Ghanshyam with a pickaxe leading to his death.
Later, accused Ghanshyam’s body was found a little distance from the place where Prafulla’s body was lying.
While it is not clear who killed Ghanshyam, villagers have said that he was killed by his son.
Badgaon police have seized both the bodies and have launched an investigation into the matter.
