Bhubaneswar: A man murdered his wife and injured his six-year-old daughter at Ghatikia in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Reportedly, the accused identified as Sanjit Das had attacked his wife Saraswati Das and daughter over some family feud today.
On hearing their screams, Sanjit’s brothers rushed to the scene and found Saraswati dead and her daughter injured.
The minor girl is presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. Sanjit is absconding and police have initiated a probe into the matter.
As per sources, Sanjit was jobless and a drug addict while Saraswati was working as a nurse. She had delivered a baby four days back. The condition of the infant is also stable.
