Bhubaneswar: A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his wife two years ago in Barbil area of Keonjhar district.
Champua additional district judge convicted Mangal Munda of murder and directed him to undergo life imprisonment.
On February 27, 2022, a brutal murder took place Serenda Jagda Sahi under Barbil police station in Keonjhar district.
Mangal Munda brutally killed Jamai Munda, his wife, in front of own children for not giving him money to consume liquor. Mangal brutally killed his wife by stabbing her with screwdriver and hacking her with an axe. The police seized the body and arrested the accused Mangal and forwarded to court.
The judgement was announced by the Additional District Magistrate, Champua. The court convicted him based on the statements of 13 witnesses and other evidence.
