Bhubaneswar: A man allegedly killed his wife with a sharp weapon at MV 66 village under Kalimela police limits in Malkangiri district last night.
Though the reason behind the gruesome killing is unknown, the accused identified as Niten Biswas reportedly surrendered at the police station after committing the crime.
As per sources, Niten and his family were residing near Block Colony School in Kalimela market. Niten made a living by selling sugarcane juice.
Meanwhile, a scientific team from Koraput has arrived to investigate the incident. Kalimela police have begun an investigation into the incident and the actual reason behind the murder is expected to be revealed soon.
