Man Suspected To Be Police Informer Killed By Maoists in Odisha

**Malkangiri:** Sending shock waves in the area, Maoists allegedly killed a man suspecting him of a police informer at Temurapalli village under Mathili police limits here on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Jagdish Samanta.

According to sources, a group of 15-30 members of the red rebel called the victim out from his house and abducted him to Katapalli, where they killed him by slitting his throat.

A poster of the Maoists was also found from the spot later that day. It mentioned that Jagdish has been working as a police informer since 2016. It also warned the locals to stay away from police or else will be regarded with the same fate.

The body of the deceased has been recovered by the police and sent for post-mortem. They are investigating into the matter.
