Man, Woman Attempt Suicide Over Alleged Illicit Affair In Rayagada

Rayagada: A man and a woman attempted suicide on Tuesday after allegedly being caught in an illicit affair in Ward No. 7 of Riot Colony in Rayagada district.

The man has been identified as Ramesh (45).

According to reports, Ramesh, who was already married and had two children, allegedly had a relationship with a young woman from his neighborhood. After their illicit affair came to light, both consumed poison in an attempt to end their lives. As a result, they were both admitted to the Rayagada District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

Meanwhile, no response has been received from Ramesh’s family regarding the incident.
