Puri: The international sand artist and animator Manas Kumar Sahoo recently showcased his incredible sand animation at the inauguration ceremony of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Many renowned celebrities from all over the world were invited to the event and they witnessed Manas’s magical fingers play with sand depicting themes based on Odisha’s culture and inheritance.
Hollywood actor Tom Holland, who is known for playing the character of Spider-Man, and actress Zendaya were among the admirers of Sahoo’s sand animation. Tom Holland was overwhelmed and carved his autograph on the sand animation.
In this particular sand animation, Manas has depicted a consolidated animation of the evolution of Odisha’s Pattachitra at the four-day exhibition at the cultural centre. The animation showed people, including Spider-Man, looking at the portraits on display at the cultural center.
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, which was inaugurated on March 31, attracted many famous Hollywood and Bollywood actors, businessmen, celebrities and sportspersons from all over the World. In this four-day event, almost all the celebrities who witnessed Sahoo’s sand animation could not resist praising him for his art.
