Bhubaneswar: In a joint operation by the DVF and SOG in Kandhamal district on June 8, the forces spotted incriminating items used by the Maoist which were dumped in a cave.
The operation was carried in Sasiketa village under Gochhapada police limits. According to the district police, 17 gelatin sticks, handmade INSAS rifle, knives, uniform, tiffin boxes, and several other incriminating materials were seized.
“Based on reliable input the SOG and DVF launched an operation on June 8. During the course of operation while the team was combing the area they found some maoist articles which were dumped in a cave near Sasiketa village. Further search operation is continuing,” Vineet Agarwal, SP Kandhamal said.
