Nuapada: Security personnel on Thursday busted a Maoist camp in Jholapada forested area under Sinapalli police limits of Nuapada district.
Addressing a presser, Nuapada SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra said that security personnel have seized one hand grenade, one radio, two batteries, Maoist uniform, Maoist literature, medicines and other articles from the camp during search operations.
Acting on intel inputs that a large number of Maoists have set up a camp inside the Patadhara forest under Boden block, on Tuesday (June 27) CRPF, DVF and SOG jawans led by Nuapada SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra launched a joint combing operation in Boden block’s Patadhara and Sinapalli’s Nangalbod forest.
On Thursday during combing operation security personnel busted the Maoist camp inside the Jholapada forest of Sinapalli block.
However, Maoists managed to flee the spot with the approach of the combing party.
