Maoist Den Raided In Kalahandi, Explosives And Ammunition Recovered

Bhawanipatna: The security forces have recovered explosives, ammunition, posters, books and kit bags following a raid on a Maoist hideout in Napadalu forest under Madanpur Rampur police limits.

Total 4 IEDs, 4 live ammunition, medicines, solar panels, explosives and other materials used by the Maoists were recovered in the joint raid by Kalahandi police, SOG and the CRPF on Sunday.

The search operation was initiated on the basis of an input about presence of 30 left wing extremists at the location. Nikhil, Dasru, and Mamta were among the top LWE leaders who had camped at this place, said Kalahandi SP Abhilash G.

The security forces have intensified combing operation in the area after recovery of these items.
