Bhubaneswar: Maoists killed a youth and injured two others on suspicion of them being police informers on the Odisha- Chhattisgarh border.
The deceased has been identified as Mandobi Raja Rao, a resident of the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh district.
The rebels held a praja court (kangaroo court), which pronounced death for the youth.
According to sources, a group of armed Naxals abducted Rao and two other youths from their houses and took them away. Later, they produced them before the Praja Court. As per the Praja Court’s order, Naxals killed Rao while leaving the other two critically wounded.
On a tip-off, police started investigating the incident.
