Rayagada: The outlawed CPI (Maoist) has put up posters at three places in the Kashipur area of Odisha’s Rayagada district demanding that the companies operating in the district give proper compensation and jobs to families displaced by the mining projects and stop harassing them.
At the same time, the posters demanded that the police should not initiate any action against those protesting against the alleged atrocities of the mining companies in the region.
The police have arrested 31 people for staging protests demanding jobs and compensation and sedition charges have been clamped on them, the posters read.
The posters have been put up by the CPI-Maoist Baghuna Divisional Committee in Mandibishi village in Kashipur block of Rayagada.
