Bhubaneswar: Air Intelligence Team of the Customs Department’s seized a large haul of marijuana at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.
Marijuana worth ₹7 crore was confiscated from a youth who had arrived from Bangkok. The youth has been detained for questioning to gather further information about the smuggling operation.
Reports indicate that the seized marijuana was part of a larger smuggling racket.
Over the past 15 days, the Customs Department has intercepted marijuana consignments worth approximately ₹15 crore at the Bhubaneswar airport.
These consignments were smuggled from Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
So far, three individuals, including two women, have been arrested in connection with these cases.
