Bhubaneswar: The ‘Marine Drive Eco Retreat’ is attracting a huge number of tourists and has turned out to be a “grand success”, claimed Odisha Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi.
“Over 60% has been booked. On the day it was started there were only 150 bookings, now it has crossed over 1,500,” said Panigrahi talking to reporters here today.
The Tourism Minister said that security of the tourists is of the utmost priority of the government.
He said that arrangements have been made to impart behavioural training to policemen on how to deal with tourists.
Providing security and ensuring the safety of tourists is the responsibility of all of us, he added.
‘Marine Drive Eco Retreat’, is a first-ever ‘Glamping’ (or glamorous camping) festival organised by the Odisha Tourism at the exotic Ramachandi beach near the famous Sun Temple at Konark.
The camping festival has already caught the attention of people of all age groups. The rich thematic experience, dedicated dining area and multiple options of staying at the luxury cottages replete with facilities is all but promising to give a calming and relaxing getaway.
With activities like jet-ski, speed boating, parasailing, ATV, archery, rifle shooting, bicycles, beach volleyball, zorbing, water rolling among others on the charts, the Eco Retreat promises to be a thrilling experience.
