**Paralakhemundi (Gajapati)**: In a shocking incident, the manager of Parala Maharaja – Anang Manjari Patra, her brother and sister were found dead in their own home at Jangam Street, 1 km away from the royal palace here.
According to reports, Anang Manjari Patra and her sister Bijaylaxmi have committed suicide by consuming poison while Sanjay Patra (PA of the King) was found hanging inside a locked room near the palace complex.
Tulu Patra, another brother of the deceased trio, who was found in the same room which was locked from inside, was admitted to medical in a critical condition.
All three bodies were recovered from the house of Anang Manjari at Jangam Street.
Notably, Anang Manjari recently hogged the headlines for allegedly keeping the Gajapati Maharaja under house arrest leading to his deteriorating health. She also did not allow anybody including the relatives of the former parliamentarian to meet him.
Local leaders cutting across party lines had also demanded arrest of the manager.
In a letter to the Odisha Chief Minister, the daughter of the Maharaja, Kalyani Devi, who is currently staying in Chennai, had urged to inquire into the property transactions of the royal family for the past 35 years.
IG of Southern Range, Amitabh Thakur, reacting over the incident has said that the police is investigating into all aspects of the case to ascertain the reasons of these deaths under suspicious conditions. Police scientific team has reached the spot and has already started its investigation, the Police IG added.
Meanwhile, Gajapati SP Sushil Panigrahi said as per the preliminary investigation it looks like a suicide case, but the exact cause of the death can only be ascertained after the post-mortem report.
