Baripada/Cuttack: Two major fires broke out in Baripada and Cuttack districts in Odisha early Sunday morning destroying properties worth lakhs of rupees. However, no casualty was reported from either place.
According to reports, a massive fire broke out in the Baripada Madhuban garage and two tyre repair shops were reduced to ashes in the incident. The fire broke out at around 6.00 am on Sunday and was first spotted by the locals who alerted the Fire Services Department after seeing thick black smoke billowing out from the tyre repair shops.
The Fire Services personnel struggled to douse the fire and brought the flames under control within two hours. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
In another incident, a fire broke out in a kabari warehouse in Ward No. 10 of the Banki NAC area in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday morning.
