Bargarh: Income Tax Department officials conducted simultaneous searches at nearly 80 locations in Bargarh district today. The searches were being conducted over allegations of large-scale tax evasion by the proprietor of a Sohela Road-based oil mill.
Income Tax officials conducted searches at the house and farmhouse of the oil miller. Raids were also conducted at the houses and business establishments of the relatives of the mill’s proprietor.
Searches were underway at the time of filing of this report.
