Cuttack: The Summative Assessment II of Class 10 students, Madhyama and State Open School Examination in Odisha commenced today across the State.
As many as 5,71,909 students are to appear in the High School Certificate (HSC) examination. Similarly, 4,443 students will be appearing for the Madhyama examination and 9,378 students will be appearing for the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examination.
All the aforementioned exams are being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha(BSE).
According to information shared by the BSE, the timings of the exams have been fixed from 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM. However, the duration of some exams is less than 2 hours which will be completed by 9.00 AM or 9.30 AM, while only the Mathematics paper will continue till 10.15 AM.
Out of the 3,540 examination centres for the aforementioned exams, 315 have been notified as ‘Nodal Centres’. According to the BSE, 24 x 7 security arrangements have been put in place at all Nodal Centres.
Besides, examination centres have been also provided with security cover from 6.00 AM to 12 noon on all examination days.
Further, for supervision of the examinations, 65 squads have been constituted at the District Education Officers level.
The BSE has centrally constituted 38 squads for supervision of exams and has asked all district administrations to send squads to supervise examination centres within their jurisdiction.
