The police have recovered a substantial cache of stolen items, including two bikes, cash amounting to Rs. 40,000, 10 laptops, 2 TVs, a personal computer with a CPU, silver bracelets, silver rings, a pair of silver toe rings, a silver waistband, a pair of silver anklets (for children), a silver ball, a pair of silver bangles, 3 mobile phones, and over 100 grams of gold jewelry.

The accused were allegedly involved in multiple thefts at houses under the Bhanjapur, Baripada Sadar, and Baripada Town police limits.

The thefts came to light when Vikash Patra (34), a resident of Ward No. 22 in Raghunathpur under the Bhanjapur police station, filed a complaint on the night of February 13 at 9 PM. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.
