Bhubaneswar: A day after a girl student of a private engineering college here was found hanging in her room in Acharya Vihar, the Commissionerate Police has held the suspect in this case.
The youth, identified as the employee of a software company here, was involved in a relationship with the girl for long and used to physically assault her, said ACP Sanjeev Satpathy.
The youth, Satya Prakash Das was arrested on the basis of a purported suicide note left by deceased Ashrita Senapati, added Satpathy.
“We found injury marks on the face of the deceased while conducting an inquest. In the letter as well, there is a mention of a fist-off between the two on July 4,” the ACP said.
