Bhubaneswar: A day after conducting raids on pharmaceutical distributors in Cuttack for allegedly selling spurious medicine, several teams of the Directorate of Drugs Control (DDC) conducted raids on various medicine stores in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The authorities collected samples of Telma 40 and Telma AM medicines during the raid. The samples will be sent to the concerned company for testing and then it can be ascertained whether these medicines are genuine or spurious.
These medicines are prescribed for patients suffering from hypertension and heart disease. After yesterday’s raid, the DDC issued instructions to stop the sale of these medicines. Raids are likely to be conducted at other places where the medicines have been despatched.
