**Bhubaneswar:** The International Hockey Federation (IHF) will send a team of experts to inspect the hockey pitch of Kalinga Stadium which hosts the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018. The IHF team is scheduled to arrive at the Capital City in July.
IHF president Narinder Batra informed that all preparations are sailing as per plans and the stadium will receive the ‘Pitch Certification’ by July. “The practice matches will start by the end of August and the sale of tickets has been impressive,” he said.
Batra was in the city to attend a review meeting on the grand sporting event which is scheduled between November 28 and December 16. The Sports Department briefed IHF about the ongoing preparations on Kalinga Stadium modernisation, seating arrangements, security of players and support staff, transportation, city infrastructure and parking related matter.
