Bhadrak: A mentally challenged man belonging to Tamil Nadu was beaten up by family members of a youth after the former pelted a stone at him. The man was loafing around near Gandarpur railway crossing under Pirahat police limits, when the youth questioned about his identity.
Enrgaged by the inquiry, the insane man pelted a stone which hit the youth, Aswini Das’ eye. He was rushed to a hospital, and minutes later, the man was tied to a tree and beaten up by Das’ relatives.
The assault was shot on a mobile camera and the video of this incident went viral on social media. The local police have registered two cases in this matter and probing further.
