Bhubaneswar: Blistering heat wave conditions prevailed in Odisha today as five places recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius and above, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The western Odisha town of Titilagarh recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.5 degree Celsius.
The other four places that recorded temperatures of 41 degree and above are Boudh (41), Baripada (41), Sonepur (41.3), and Balangir (41.4).
Similarly, Sambalpur and Bhawanipatna recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2 degree Celsius each.
Besides, the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar were comparatively cooler recording a maximum temperature of 36.5 degree Celsius.
The seaside town of Gopalpur was the coolest in the State with a maximum temperature of 30.5 degree Celsius.
