Boudh was the hottest place in the State and had recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius.
State Capital-Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum temperature of 39.0 degrees Celsius.
The seaside town of Gopalpur was the coolest place in the State with a maximum temperature of 31.9 degrees Celsius followed by Puri with 33.2 and Paradip with 33.4 degrees Celsius.
Nor ‘wester brought much-needed relief from the summer heat in the evening at several places in the State.
