Bhubaneswar: Total 17 districts in the State are very likely to witness heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours, the local office of Indian Meteorological Department informed today.
According to the bulletin issued by IMD, Bhubaneswar, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur.
“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda,
Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Mayurbhanj, and
Dhenkanal,” the IMD stated.
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain / thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at many places over the districts of interior Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places over Balasore, Ganjam, and Khurda districts. The rains will continue till October 19, the IMD stated.
