Met Issues Thunderstorm, Lightning Alert For 26 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here alerted thunderstorm alert accompanied with lightning and moderate rainfall for as many 26 districts in the State today.

As per the latest weather bulletin issued by the MeT department, the districts where the weather is likely to take an ugly turn are- Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundergarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Balangir, Nuapada, Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Malkangiri, Koraput, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada.

The bulletin has warned people not to venture out till 7.30 PM today evening.
